The front of the shops are so beautifully maintained and colourful.
I agree with you that it is a shame that these colonial shop houses are being torn down.
If they were declared heritage buildings by the cities… they would need to be refurbished.

I can’t read all the shop signs, but the second one says something about chicken rice. Lol. And one of them sells medicine I think. It does look shabby but maintain right, they do lend charm. Glad you are documenting it though.

I love these old shops, and the pedestrian archways are very practical for keeping shoppers out of inclement weather. By the way LC, good call on spotting the manatee in the mountain lake. I thought perhaps I glimpsed it too, but was afraid to admit to myself the implications of what it would mean for global warming, yo.
